Meet Adrienne
Hi! I am Adrienne and I was also born in a New York suburb to a working father and a stay at home mother and I have an older brother that is married with one child. As a child I was involved in a lot of activities including soccer and Irish dancing. My family would often drive down to the beach to have dinner that my mom packed up before leaving. This most likely helped to lead to my love of the beach. My father traveled for business, so I was lucky to be able to tag along during my breaks from school. When I talks about these trips, I talks more about the time I spent with her dad helping him get set up than about what state they were in or what we did. I went away for college and was on the soccer team. I enjoyed being away to be more independent, but I loved when my dad would arrange his business trips around my soccer games and bring my mom and visit.
After college, I was became an athletic trainer for a high school and middle school. This was a perfect job for me because I loved sports and helping children stay healthy while being active. I was also the biggest supporters of the kids and offered a high five when they won a big game or a supportive pat on the back when they lost. The athletes at my school knew that I was always there for them. As time went on working at the school, I realized that I could make a bigger impact on more children by becoming a teacher. So I went back to school and got my Master’s in teaching and became a teacher in the same school I had been working at for years. I also coach three sports and still fills in as an athletic trainer when needed.
