We are Corinne and Adrienne and we are looking to grow our family through adoption.
Our Letter to You...A Very Special Person
Hello,
We are so happy that you are taking the time to read our letter to learn more about us. We admire you for your strength to even consider making an adoption plan.
We are a married couple who have been together for over fourteen years. Being mothers has always been our dream. We wanted to be able to give our children every opportunity and Adrienne went back to school to be a teacher to help be able to provide for our child. Corinne is a physical therapist in a hospital. We did try to have a child through IVF but only did one trial. We realized that IVF was not the way we wanted to achieve motherhood but believe instead that we should adopt and provide a loving home to a child. We are flexible and willing to consider all levels of openness but would respect your wishes for what you are comfortable with.
We live in a great house on a very friendly block. There is never a quick walk down the block because we stop to talk to our neighbors on the way. Our house is known for the Halloween decorations and our neighbor across the street is the Christmas house. There are many dogs in the neighborhood, and we get to know their parents during our walks with Bella, our four-legged fuzzball. Our church is about 10 minutes away and they have a Sunday school for your child’s religious education.
We love to go to the beach, all sporting events, movies, and gardening. The beach is about a 15-minute drive from our house, but we do need to pick up a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich before we go (typical Long Islanders). We like to be one of the first on the beach to be able to enjoy the peace and beauty (and to get a prime spot for the day). We do everything at the beach including catching crabs, building sand castles, and boogie boarding. Our favorite sports to watch are those where we know someone playing. Both of us grew up playing soccer and Adrienne played in college and Corinne played field hockey in college. We cannot wait to introduce our child to different sports and allow them to choose to play what they enjoy. Corinne enjoys all type of movies but going to the movies does not usually happen because Adrienne falls asleep. Corinne would love to share her love of movies with a child, starting with Disney and then watching anything but horror. Adrienne learned how to garden with her father and would love to share her hobby with a little one. Her father loves roses and there are about 15 rose bushes on our property.
We each have one sibling and have 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Our youngest niece is very vocal in letting us know that she needs a new cousin. We also have many cousins with children from 6 months to college aged. One of our cousins is 10 minutes away and she has a 17-month old. We are also fortunate to have friends that are more family than friends and therefore are known as our “framily”. We spend each holiday with a different part of our family. We either go to them or they come to us. We also sometimes spend our holidays at our home away from home, Disney World. We go a few times a year and will go with friends or family. We cannot wait to be parents and experience Disney through their eyes. We even want to get their first hair cut done at Disney. We are often called Disney Geeks but are okay with that title.
Thank you again for reading our letter. We hope that you would like to learn more about us so we can then get to know each other. Feel free to follow us on social media and contact us.
